29 CFR 1910.334(a)(4): Conductive work locations. Portable electric equipment and flexible cords used in highly conductive work locations (such a those inundated with water or other conductive liquids), or in job locations where employees are likely to contact water or conductive liquids,shall be approved for those locations. Jobsite located at 6200 Cornhusker Highway, Lincoln NE; product conveyor tunnel: On January 11, 2012, an employee sustained an electrical shock while working in the vicinity of an energized portable grinder and extension cord that had come into contact with water. The employee was working on a de-energized conveyor motor when he came into contact with the electrical current. Neither the grinder nor the extension cord was rated for use in wet locations.

29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer did not conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirement of this standard were being followed: Throughout the Facility: The employer failed to conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedures as outlined in the standard. The employer did conduct a limited number of reviews for some of the procedures but failed to review each procedure. NEBCO, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311463228, Citation #1, Item #1, and became a final order on October 14, 2008.
