29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): The point of operation of machines whose operation exposes an employee to injury, shall beguarded. The guarding device shall be in conformity with any appropriate standards therefor, or, in the absence of applicable specific standards,shall be so designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operatingcycle. 1. In the northwest section of the subcontracting plant, near the back wall, employees were using an Amroy drill press with no guard over the chuck (arbor). 2. In the northwest section of the subcontracting plant, near the back wall, employees were using a Machine Tools drill press with no guard over the chuck (arbor). 3. In the northwest section of the subcontracting plant, near the back wall, employees were using a Guarding Power drill press with no guard over the chuck (arbor). 4. In the northwest section of the subcontracting plant, near the back wall, employees were operating a Dayton drill press without a guard over the chuck (arbor). 5. In the northwest section of the subcontracting plant, employees were using a Machine Tools drill press with no guard in place over the chuck (arbor).

29 CFR 1910.212(b): Anchoring fixed machinery. Machines designed for a fixed location shall be securely anchored to preventwalking or moving. 1. In the northwest section of the subcontracting plant, near the back wall, there was an Amroy drill press being used by employees that was not anchored to the floor to prevent movement. 2. In the northwest section of the subcontracting plant, near the back wall, employees were using a Machine Tools drill press that was not anchored to the floor to prevent movement. 3. In the northwest section of the subcontracting plant, near the back wall, employees were operating a Guarding Power drill press that was not anchored to the floor to prevent movement. 4.
