The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to hazards while working on vehicles suspended by automotive lifts. Employees were exposed to crush by hazards while working on vehicles suspended by automotive lifts because the third lift from the back door on the left side did not have functioning safety latches. The employer failed to provide employee training and periodic inspections that meet the requirements in ANSI/ALI ALOIM 2000 for all lifts at the facility.
