29 CFR 1910.269(r)(5): Gasoline-engine power saw operations did not meet the requirements of 1910.266(e):      (a) Oberlanders Tree and Landscape, LTD. on or about October 6, 2011, at the site located near the corner of Columbus-Sandusky Rd. N and Marseillies-Galion Rd. E. Marion, OH: Per the requirements listed in 29 CFR 1910.266(e)(2)(i), the employer failed to ensure that the Stihl 066 chain saw, used to fell trees, was equipped with a front hand guard. The hand guard actuates the chain brake in the event of a kick-back. Employees operating the saw in this condition were exposed to amputation hazards.
