29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were other provisions of paragraph (b) of this section used to provide an alternative fall protection measure: a. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 20 feet to the ground below while installing sheathing and no fall protection was being used. b. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 12 feet while next to a hole in roof that was made to lift pieces of roof sheathing during the roof decking activity. The employees were not protected from falling to lower levels, by personal fall arrest systems, covers, or a guardrail system.
