29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) On or about January 31, 2012, and at times prior to that date, for employees working on the roof installing an advertising sign were exposed to a potential fall hazard of approximately 18 feet while kneeling on the parapet wall located at the intersection of 10th Street and Sneeve Avenue, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
