29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1) Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) Renovations Construction, Remodeling and Home Sales LLC on or about February 17, 2012, at the address of 5601 Woodville Rd. Northwood, OH: The employer failed to ensure employees were protected from falls while performing framing work on top a low sloped commercial structure. Employees were exposed to a 13 ft fall to the pavement below.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a) Renovations Construction, Remodeling and Home Sales LLC on or about February 17, 2012, at the address of 5601 Woodville Rd. Northwood, OH: The employer did not ensure that employees had been trained in the appropriate use of fall protection such as but not limited to the use of personal fall arrest systems or alternative measures while performing various framing operations.
