29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. Four South Bend Engine Lathe(s), illegible serial numbers are being used without guarding. Lathe(s) are being used for turning and trimming down brass and aluminum parts. b. Four Turrent Lathe(s), illegible serial numbers are being used without guarding. Lathes are being used in drilling and tapping operations. c. Rockwell Horizontal Rockwell Band Saw, Model 7A, is being used without guarding. Saw is being used for cutting copper rods.
