29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: Employees were exposed to noise levels above 85 dBA, and were not provided audiometric testing. a) Employee hand sanding/buffing granite was exposed to 87.8 dBA, as an 8 hour time weighted average. Employee was sampled on February 28, 2012 and was sampled for 373 minutes, the remaining 107 minutes was calculated as zero exposure time. b) Employee was cutting/sanding limestone and hammer drilling holes into rocks was exposed to 89.3 dBA, as an 8 hour time weighted average. Employee was sampled on February 28, 2012 and was sampled for 443 minutes, the remaining 37 minutes was calculated as zero exposure time.
