29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):     Types of guarding. One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operatorand other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips andsparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices,electronic safety devices, etc.    The employer failed to protect employees from potential amputation hazards associated with operating an inadequately guarded horizontal band saw.  This was most recently evident during the inspection of the facility located at 5945 N. 70th Street, Lincoln, NE 68507, where the employer has employees using a Ellis horizontal band saw with 3 of unguarded blade to the left of the cutting area.
