29 CFR 1910.213(a)(9):     All belts, pulleys, gears, shafts, and moving parts were not guarded in accordance with the specific requirements of 1910.219:    a)  Double E machine had a drive shaft that was not guarded, approximately 41" long.  1910.219 (c)92)(i) requires all exposed part(s) of horizontal shafting seven (7) feet or less from floor or working platform be protected by stationary casing(s) enclosing shafting completely or by trough(s) enclosing sides and top or sides and bottom of shafting.    b)  Transfer chain had a 1-1/2" diameter shaft that projected out approximately 4" without a guard.  1910.219(c)(4)(i) requires unguarded projecting shaft end(s) present a smooth edge and end and not project more than one half the diameter of the shaft.    c)   Outfeed conveyor for Marine Johnson rip saw had an unguarded belt and pulley drive unit. 1910.219(d)(1) requires Pulley(s) with part(s) seven (7) feet or less from the floor or work platform be guarded in accordance with the requirements specified in 29 CFR 1910.219(m) and (o).    d)  Outfeed conveyor for Marine Johnson rip saw had an unguarded belt and pulley drive unit.  1910.219(e)(3)(i) requires vertical or inclined belt(s) be enclosed by guard(s) conforming to the requirements specified at 29 CFR 1910.219(m) and (o).    f)  Heeseman infeed conveyor for sander had an exposed chain and sprocket approximately 1" from orange guard.  1910.219(f)(3) requires sprocket wheels and chains which are seven (7) feet or less above floors or platforms be enclosed.
