29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative: a)Hammer Manufacturing Linden, NJ - Manufacturing: Employer did not establish an Energy Control Program that defines machine specfic energy control procedures, training and periodic inspections for employees performing part change out, maintenance and/or servicing equipment to prevent accidental energizing of the machinery. Machinery including but not limited to a Strippit 1000 20 CNC Punch Press did not have written procedures for de-energizing and isolating energy sources. Condition noted on or about 3/8/2012.
