OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were working in and near the traveled lanes of US RT 20 .5 M West of IL RT 2 without providing advance warning to approaching road users of the presence of workers. On March 6, 2012, Northern Illinois Gas Company, employees worked in and near the traveled way of US RT 20 approximately .5 M West of IL RT 2 without warning approaching road users of the presence of workers. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct the hazard include, but are not limited to the following:
