This condition exposed employees to the hazard of being struck by shrapnel in the event of a grinding wheel failure.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: (a) R and G Granite Works at 7000 E. 58th Ave., Unit A, Commerce City, CO 80022: On and before February 9, 2012, the 13-amp Skilsaw HD77 circular hand saw was not used in accordance with the operating instructions, in that employees pour water from a container onto the saw blade of the Skilsaw while cutting on granite. This saw is not rated to be used with water. This condition exposed the employees to the hazard of electrical shock. (b) R and G Granite Works at 7000 E. 58th Ave., Unit A, Commerce City, CO 80022: On and before February 9, 2012, the main circuit breaker panel board located on the north wall in the shop was not installed in accordance with its listing. The circuit break panel is incorrectly recessed into its enclosure, thus causing a one to two-inch opening surrounding the circuit breakers. This condition exposed the employees to the hazard of electrical shock.

Employees use water on saws while cutting granite slabs, thus causing standing water to cover the floor of the shop, in addition to water spraying the work area. This condition exposed employees to the hazard of electrical shock and burns.
