29 CFR 1910.107(c)(6): Electrical wiring, motors, and other equipment outside of but within twenty (20) feet of any spray area, and not separated therefrom by partitions, produced sparks under normal operating conditions and did not otherwise conform to the provisions of subpart S of this part for Class I, Division 2 Hazardous Locations:    a) Finishing area, on or about 4/24/12: Electrical outlets, not approved for Class 1 Division 2 locations, were used within 13 ft. of spraying operations using flammable liquids including, but not limited to 431-9190 Opticlear Gloss lacquer, Sunnyside lacquer thinner and 536-121 Urethane Primer.    b) Finishing area, on or about 4/24/12: Overhead lighting, not approved for Class 1, Division 2 locations, was used within 10.25 feet of spraying operations using flammable liquids including, but not limited to 431-9190 Opticlear Glass lacquer, Sunnyside lacquer thinner and 536-121 Urethane Primer. A zero increment was included for the 80 minutes not sampled.    Effective means of abatement include, but are not limited to, any or any combination of the following:    1) Using local ventilation to reduce exposure levels.    2) Dividing operation between two or more employees to reduce exposure levels.    Abatement will be Multi-step as follows:    1) Provide suitable respiratory protection, in the interim, that complies with 29 CFR 1910.134, The OSHA respiratory protection standard.    2) Evaluate control method through personal air monitoring. (30 days)    3) Selecting control method or combination of methods. (60 days)    4) Submitting to the Area Director a report detailing the results and providing a copy of monitoring results.
