The distance between the abrasive wheel and the peripheral guard was approximately one and one quarter inch.      Inside of the cutting area, the peripheral protecting member belonging to the Bolder Pedestal 6-Inch Grinder could not be adjusted.  The distance between the abrasive wheel and the peripheral guard was approximately one half inch.
