29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer shall administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program, as described in paragraphs (c) through (o) of this section, whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level (TWA) of 85 decibels measured on the A scale (slow response) or, equivalently, a dose of fifty percent.     (a) Main Production Area; Gantry 870 mill operator was overexposed to continuous noise levels at 130.4 % of the permissible daily noise exposure ( 8-hour time weighted average sound level of 85 dBA) or an equivalent dBA level of approximately 92.51 dBA during the 442 minute sampling period on 3/27/12; exposure calculations included a zero increment for the 38 minutes not sampled.    (b) Main Production Area; 820 60 X 100 mill operator was overexposed to continuous noise levels at 66.01 % of the permissible daily noise exposure (8-hour time weighted average sound level of 85 dBA) or an equivalent dBA level of approximately 87.78 dBA  during the 431 minute sampling period on 3/27/12; exposure calculations included a zero increment for the 49 minutes not sampled.
