29 CFR 1910.333(a)(1): "Deenergized parts." Live parts to which an employee may be exposed shall be deenergized before theemployee works on or near them, unless the employer can demonstrate that deenergizing introduces additional or increased hazards or is infeasible dueto equipment design or operational limitations. On or about 3/26/2012 an employee working at the jobsite located at 737 S. Washington, Wichita, KS 67211 was exposed to electric shock hazards while servicing a luminous sign on the exterior of the building in that, the sign was not deenergized prior to the employee beginning service on the sign.

29 CFR 1910.333(b)(2)(i): "Procedures." The employer shall maintain a written copy of the procedures outlined in paragraph (b)(2) and shall make it available for inspection by employees and by the Assistant Secretary of Labor and his or her authorized representatives. On or about 3/26/2012 an employee working at the jobsite located at 737 S. Washington, Wichita, KS 67211 was exposed to electric shock hazards while servicing a luminous sign on the exterior of the building in that, the employer did not maintain written procedures on how to deenergize electrical equipment prior to servicing.
