29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer shall instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury:    a) Mays Landing Walmart renovation site - The employer's representative did not identify numerous unsafe conditions and enforce the regulations applicable for the protection of site employees. Unsafe conditions included: employees exposed to fall hazards while working from the elevated scaffold platform; employees working from scissor lifts and aerial lifts without proper fall protection; unguarded reinforcing steel, employees working in areas of the roof deck requiring fall protection; and unsecured steel joists placed on the structure, on or about 03/23/12.    NOTE:  IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
