29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i):  The employer did not select, and have each affected employee use, the types of PPE that will protect the affected employee from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment:    a) At the facility, 75-20 Astoria Blvd., Jackson Heights, N.Y. -Jewelry Repair Area and Wash Room. On a daily basis employees pour, transfer, transport, and use hazardous products including, but not limited to, Oakite BCR (pH: 10.9; Caustic), Pickling Solution#314 (Corrosive), Pickling Compound, Colorless Thin Hardener, Handy Flux, Dandix, Borax (pH: 9.3; Caustic) , Duralcrete 1:1, Loctite, and Enamels. These products contain hazardous chemicals such as, but not limited to, ethanolamine, Disodium phosphate, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid, sodium bisulfate, sodium sulfate, aliphatic amine, nonylphenol, boric acid, potassium fluoride, potassium tetraborate tetrahydrate, phenol, and ethylene glycol.  The employer did not select, and have each affected employee use, the types of PPE that will protect the affected employee from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment, on or about 03/30/12. Each employer who has a workplace or work operation covered by this standard shall determine if any employee may be exposed to lead at or above the action level.    a) At the facility, 75-20 Astoria Blvd., Jackson Heights, N.Y. - Jewelry Repair Area / Enamel Work Area- On a daily basis employees repair jewelry that contain lead based decorative enamel such as, but not limited to, Schauer Enamels Transparent Gray. Employee's grind off the damaged enamel at their workstation; mix the powder enamel(s), epoxy, and epoxy hardener at the enamel workstation; and, apply the mixture onto the jewelry.  The employer did not determine if any employee may be exposed to lead at or above the action level, on or about 03/30/12.        ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19
