29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employers shall develop, implement, and maintain at each workplace, a written hazard communication program which at least describes how the criteria specified in paragraphs (f), (g), and (h) of this section for labels and other forms of warning, material safety data sheets, and employee information and training will be met, and which also includes the following: The employer does not ensure that employees are protected from excessive contact with hazardous chemicals. This violation was observed on or about 03/20/12, at the workplace where employees were exposed to an inhalation and/or dermal contact hazard when performing carpentry work without a written hazard communication program. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are protected from excessive contact with hazardous chemicals found in the workplace.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables shall be connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided that will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. The employer does not ensure that employees are protected from contact with exposed bare conductors. This violation was observed on or about March 20, 2012, on the South West side of the Production Shop where employees were exposed to an elechtrical hazard when the flexible cord pulled away from the drill exposing the bare conductors. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are protected from contact with exposed bare conductors.
