29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and verticalsurface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrailsystems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a). Worksite located at 510 N. Belt, St. Joseph, Missouri- Employees were observed working and walking on a roof with unprotected sides and edges in which employees were exposed to fall hazards and were not protected from falling.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fallhazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed inorder to minimize these hazards: (a). Worksite located at 510 N. Belt, St. Joseph, Missouri- Employees working on a roof with unprotected sides and edges as well as overhead powerlines were not trained on the procedures to follow in order to protect themselves from falls or electrocutions.
