29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1)(iv): Examination. Electric equipment shall be free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serioius physical harm to employees. Safety of equipmnet shall be determined using the following considerations: Electrical insulation. During the inspection, it was observed that in the laser room there was a flexible cord from an examination table that had significant damage to its jacket. A flexible cord in this condition exposes employees to shock and/or fire hazard.
