Crossbraces were used as a means of access.      On or about April 4, 2012, the employer did not ensure the tubular welded frame scaffold had a ladder for employee access or egress.  The employees were climbing the cross bracing and/or the end frames to gain access to the scaffold.  Employees were exposed to fall hazards.

DFW Acrylic & Plastering was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.451(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311953491, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on April 30, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at 1400 S. Loop 288, Denton, Texas 76205.
