29 CFR 1910.219(d)(1): Pulley(s) with part(s) seven feet or less from the floor or work platform were not guarded in accordance with the requirements specified in 29 CFR 1910.219(m) and (o): (a) (LOCATION) (IDENTIFY SPECIFIC OPERATION(S) AND/OR CONDITIONS) (DESCRIBE HAZARD(S) WHERE NECESSARY) (a) Building 1, Tip ID machines: Horizontal belt and pulleys that rotated the cases so that the tips were painted on all sides were not adequately guarded. There was a pinch point between the belt and the rapidly rotating pulleys where contusion and laceration hazards were created. Abatement certification is required for this item - use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.
