29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floor(s) or platform(s) 4 feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not provided with toeboards where required: In the Production Area, Sanitation Department employees are exposed to a fall hazard while performing cleaning operations with brooms, air hoses and vacuum's on top of the bun and bread ovens. The approximate dimensions are 6 feet (height) by 12 feet, 4 inches (width) by 85 (length) for the bun oven and 6 feet (height) by 12 feet, 4 inches (width) by 175 feet (length) for the bread oven. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citation(s).

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: In the Production area, employees were exposed to rotating parts from an unguarded rotating flour sifting arm. The flour sifting arm was powered by a Bodine 1/6 horsepower motor. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citation(s).
