29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and verticalsurface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrailsystems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On March 14, 2012, at the Papa Johns Pizza on 76 Hwy, Branson, Missouri An employee was exposed to a fall hazard as he worked at the edge of a building surface approximately 20 feet from the ground below without using fall protection.
