29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(1): Universal precautions were not observed to prevent contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials: (a) At the facility, in the patient treatment and nursing station areas: On March 29, 2012 the employer did not ensure universal precautions were used when patient records contaminated with blood from a Hepatitis C positive patient were allowed to be passed between employees without gloves and to contaminate office surfaces including a scanner, without warning to other employees.
