29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. On or about 04/19/12 at the construction site where employees were installing asphalt shingles on the roof of building #7 and 2 employees were wearing fall protection such as safety harnesses, with no lanyards, and one employee was not provided with fall protection at all, exposing employees to the hazard of a 30 foot fall. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels are protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems.
