29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Facility- 12 Leonberg Road, Cranberry Township, PA : On or about April 11, 2012 employees using the DoAll horizontal band saw were exposed to unguarded blades while cutting bronze. (b) Facility- 12 Leonberg Road, Cranberry Township, PA : On or about April 11, 2012 the Nardini Nodus was not properly guarded. Employees were exposed to rotating parts from the chuck protruding approximately one-half an inch. (c) Facility- 12 Leonberg Road, Cranberry Township, PA : On or about April 11, 2012 employees operating the milling machines such as but not limited to the MC40 Leblond Makins and the Mazak VTC-20B were inside the machines performing work without the doors being interlocked, exposing them to start up from the machine and rotating parts.
