29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. On or about April 18, 2012 at jobsite located at 19454 116th Avenue, Mokena, IL. - Employees performing roofing activities on a roof with a 6:12 pitch were not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards of approximately twenty nine (9) to eighteen (18) feet. S & D Enterprises of Illinois, Inc. was previously cited for a violation for this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent Standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 310177662, Citation Number 1 Item Number 1 and was affirmed as final order on August 9, 2007 with respect to the workplace located at 6742 Eagle Drive, Tinley Park, IL 60477.
