29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2):     The employer did not initiate and maintain programs which provided for frequent and regular inspections of the job site, materials and equipment to be made by a competent person(s);    a)122 Rt 130 South, Bordentown, NJ:  Sub-contractor employees onsite were exposed to a variety of hazards including but not limited to, fall hazards from the roof of the structure, electrical hazards while welding and potential health hazards due to lack of PPE and Material Safety Data Sheets during spraying of flame retardant coatings.  The General Contractor and Controlling Employer, V J Scozzari and Sons, Inc. , had not initiated a program for a competent person to conduct frequent and regular inspections of the jobsite, to identify hazards and/or stop the work in the event workers were placed in a hazardous condition.  Observed on or about 04/18/2012.    NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
