29 CFR 1910.253(b)(2)(ii): Inside of buildings, cylinders shall be stored in a well-protected, well-ventilated, dry location, at least 20 (6.1 m) feet from highly combustible materials such as oil or excelsior. Cylinders should be stored in definitely assigned places away from elevators, stairs, or gangways. Assigned storage spaces shall be located where cylinders will not be knocked over or damaged by passing or falling objects, or subject to tampering by unauthorized persons. Cylinders shall not be kept in unventilated enclosures such as lockers and cupboards. Production area - On or about April 27, 2012, the following cylinders were not in a secured enclosure, thereby exposing employees to the hazard of an explosion. 1. one argon 2. one oxygen 3. three propane

29 CFR 1910.253(b)(4)(iii): Oxygen cylinders in storage shall be separated from fuel-gas cylinders or combustible materials (especially oil or grease), a minimum distance of 20 feet (6.1 m) or by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 feet (1.5 m) high having a fire-resistance rating of at least one-half hour. Production area/northeast - On or about April 14, 2012, oxygen,argon and propane cylinders in storage were not separated by the minumum distance of 20 feet, thereby exposing employees tothe hazardss of fire and explosion.
