29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    a) Maintenance Shop -    The chuck of the Jet metal lathe was not enclosed by a guard to protect employees from the rotating machine part. On or about 05/02/2012.    b) Maintenance Shop -     The unused portion of the Sawmaster DY-350 bandsaw blade was not guarded to prevent contact with the blade's teeth. On or about 05/02/2012.    c) Maintenance Shop -    The unused portion of the Kalamazoo horizontal bandsaw blade was not guarded to prevent contact with the blade's teeth. On or about 05/02/2012    .NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM.
