29 CFR 1926.403(b)(1): Examination. The employer shall ensure that electrical equipment is free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a). Worksite located at 1218 Village Drive, St. Joseph, Missouri- Employees failed to inspect their electrical equipment to ensure the equipment was free from recognized hazards. The extension cord being used to power the drill and the radial saw being used had multiple breaches in the cord's outer insulation, thus exposing employees to possible shock or electrocution hazards.

Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and verticalsurface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrailsystems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a). Worksite located at 1218 Village Drive, St. Joseph, Missouri- An employee was observed working on an unprotected edge without the use of any means of fall protection in place.
