29 CFR 1926.859(g): Employees were permitted to work where hazards existed before they were corrected by shoring, bracing, or other effective means: a/ At the job site, employee(s) were sitting on the ground adjacent to the west wall of an institutional building undergoing demolition by mechanical means. The employee(s) were using hammers to remove mortar from individual bricks. The masonry wall and floor contained loose masonry and other materials. Neither the wall nor the floor above the employee(s) were shored to prevent an unplanned collapse hazard.
