During the walkaround with William Pierson, EHS Manager, Jefferey Klunk, Environmental Manager, and William Johnson, Operations Manager, I noted that one or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a/ Inside Building one, Post 23k, the chuck and unused portion of the bit belonging to the Cincinnati Milacron, M-41, were unguarded. William Pierson stated that he used to manage this department for 11 years prior to assuming his current duties.
