JOBSITE:  The employee, working inside the pit, containing a submersible pump and used infrequently at a gas station, was not protected from the hazards of being hit and/or struck by vehicular traffic by the use of appropriate means.    On or about 5/4/12, a vehicle drove over the "unprotected pit" when an employee was trying to get out of the pit, and the employee sustained an injury to the head.
