29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets: A) 185 14th Street, Wood-Ridge - NJ: Employees were exposed to head injuries while working below roofing activities. The employees were not protected with hard hats or protective helmets, on or about April 24th 2012. Great American Roofing Company was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or an equivalent 29 CFR 1926.501 (b) (13) which was contained in OSHA inspection # 314678020, Citation 01, Item 001, issued on 06/13/2011 with respect to a workplace located at 67 Hasbrouck Avenue in Hasbrouck Hts, NJ.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph (b) Note: If using these systems was infeasible or created a greater hazard, the employer should develop and implement a fall protection plan meeting the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502. A) 185 14th Street, Wood-Ridge - NJ: Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 18 feet while engaged in roofing work on a residential structure without a means of fall protection in place, on or about April 24th 2012. Great American Roofing Company was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent 29 CFR 1926.501 (b) (13) which was contained in OSHA inspection #'s 314678020, Citation 01, Item 002, issued on 06/13/2011 with respect to a workplace located at 67 Hasbrouck Avenue in Hasbrouck Hts, NJ and also in inspection # 313982886, Citation 001, Item 002, issued on 10/27/2010 with repsect to a workplace located at 199 Evergreen Road in Edison, NJ.
