29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Located at Tiffany and Company, 300 Maple Ridge Drive, Cumberland, RI, Polishing Department: on or about 05/07/2012, the rotating spindle of the Baldor buffing machine was not adequately guarded in that the rubber tubing being used as a guard was not stationary and rotated with the spindle. An employee was injured when the cotton glove caught on the rubber tubing pulling the employees hand into the rotating spindle.
