Site- Employees were not protected from projectile hazards when two pressurized helium cylinders were stored in a conference room without the removable caps being affixed to the cylinders when not in use.

OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a crushing hazard.      a. Site- on or about 5/4/2012, employees were operating four Challenger model-VS10, and one Forward Model-DP10A113000BL two post vehicle lifts where the overhead safety shut-off's were rendered inoperable and the vehicle would come in contact with the garage door opener prior to coming in contact with the shut-off switch. Four of the lifts overhead safety switches did not work as they were disconnected.       TS & A Motors LLC doing business as KIA of Somersworth was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 92737, citation number 01, item number 01, with a final order date of  01/31/2012, with respect to the same workplace, located at 375 Rt. 108 Somersworth, NH.
