29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladders were used for purposes other than the purposes for which they were designed: a) Building roof front - On or about 4 May, 2012 - Employees were using an extension ladder as a crawling board to remove paint from the existing roof panels without ensuring that the ladder would not slip and separate under the weight of the employee while the top was connected to the roof peak. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 10 feet to the next lower level.
