29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) B's Builders, LLC at 2955 Valmont Rd, Boulder, CO, 80301: On May 10, 2012 the exposing did not ensure that employees were protected from injury, in that three employees making repairs on the roof of a one-story office building, with a roof pitch of 6-in-12, were not utilizing a fall protection system. One employee was cleaning out gutters on the same building without utilizing a fall protection system. This condition exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 17 feet. (b) B's Builders, LLC at 2975 Valmont Rd, Boulder, CO, 80301: On May 10, 2012 the exposing did not ensure that employees were protected from injury, in that two employees making repairs on the roof of a one-story office building, with a roof pitch of 6-in-12, were not utilizing a fall protection system. This condition exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 20 feet to 16 feet.
