29 CFR 1910.243(c)(3): Abrasive wheels used on vertical portable grinder (right angle head grinders) were not provided with safety guard having a maximum exposure angle of 180 degrees and located between the operator and wheel: (a) Bosch 1810PS portable handheld grinder was used by an employee during welding operations. An employee was exposed to lacerations due to grinder not being equipped with a safety guard. There is no abatement verification documentation required for this item.

29 CFR 1910.178(e)(2): Fork trucks, where the load presents a hazard, were not equipped with vertical load backrest extensions: (a) PITs: Clark CGP45, Hyster H250XL, and Hyster H360XL without vertical load backrest extensions were used for lifting, moving, loading and unloading materials. Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards from falling objects from higher level. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(3).
