29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: The employer does not establish a hearing conservation when employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels. This violation was observed on or about May 18, 2012, on the ramp cargo area of Houston Intercontinental Airport where employees were exposed to a noise hazard when an 8-hour time weighted average exposure of 86.6 decibels without an effective hearing conservation program.

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: The employer does not provide quick drenching during battery charging operation. This violation was observed on or about May 18, 2012, in the maintenance shop cargo area of Houston Intercontinental Airport where employees were exposed to a corrosive hazard when charging batteries without an eye wash.

29 CFR 1910.253(b)(4)(iii): Oxygen cylinders in storage were not separatseparated from fuel-gas cylinders or combustible materials (especially oil or grease), a minimum distance of 20 feet (6.1 m) or by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 feet (1.5 m) high having a fire-resistance rating of at least one-half hour. The employer does not separate oxygen gas and acetylene cylinders at a minimum distance of 20 feet or by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 feet high having a fire-resistance rating of at least one-half hour. This violation was observed on or about May 18, 2011, in the maintenance shop area where employees were exposed to a fire/explosion hazard when oxygen and acetylene were stored together without being separated at least 20 feet or being separated by a 5 foot high barrier with a fire resistance of at least one half hour.
