29 CFR 1926.502(h)(1)(v): The safety monitor had other responsibilities which could take the monitor's attention from the monitoring function: a. At the east side of the building where employees were installing plywood on the flat roof, the safety monitoring system was inadequate, in that, the designated safety monitors did construction work, such as, cutting plywood, which took attention from the monitoring function. The employees were exposed to a fall hazard of 16'-6". Violation observed on or about 05/17/12.
