29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction" Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure: a) On or about May 22, 2012 at the jobsite location at 15721 S. Cottage Grove Avenue, South Holland, IL - Employees performing roofing activities on a roof with a 4:12 pitch were exposed to fall hazards of approximately eight (8) feet, nine (9) inches to twelve (12) feet, nine (9) inches. The Van Drunen Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation for this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent Standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 315157602, Citation Number 1 Item Number 1 and was affirmed as final order on August 12, 2011 with respect to the workplace located at 17955 Chicago Avenue, Lansing, IL 60438.
