Jones Co. on or about May 23, 2012, at the worksite located at 7610 New West Rd. in Sylvania, OH: The employer did not assure employees were protected from head injuries when working below a JLG lift where a worker above was assisting in sheet metal installation. Employees were exposed to potential impact injuries caused by falling material and/or equipment. No additional abatement information is needed for this item.

29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift: Note: As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system. a) C.E. Jones Co. on or about May 23, 2012, at the worksite located at 7610 New West Rd. in Sylvania, OH: OH: The employer did not assure that a personal fall arrest system was used by employee(s) installing metal siding from a JLG 400S aerial lift. An employee performing work in this condition was exposed to an approximate 12 ft. fall hazard. C.E. Jones Co. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, or its equivalent standard, 1926.453(b)(2)(v), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 311330831, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 22, 2008, with respect to a workplace located at 1324 Center St. in Callery, PA. No additional abatement information is needed for this item
