29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems: a) VMC Roofing Company, 5060 Rangeland, Loveland, CO: The employer had not ensured the use of appropriate fall protection while employees installed roof shingles. On or about May 8, 2012, employees were permitted to work on a 5/12 pitch roof without appropriate fall protection. Condition exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 10 feet. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet"). Note: VMC Roofing, Company was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 107894, citation number 1, item number 1, issued on 10/20/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 3240 Silverbell Drive, Johnstown, CO.
