29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):     Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    a. South roof edge - during masonry operations, employee(s) not using fall protection were exposed to a 44' fall hazard.  Violation observed on or about 5/23/12.    The Gilbert & Byrd Masonry Contractors, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311129837 citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on 6/29/07 with respect to a workplace located at 940 Gulf Blvd. Indian Rocks Beach, Florida 33785.
